Part of the mission of The Blue Ribbon Project is to help support foster youth who are at risk of aging out of the system. The purpose of our Aging Up...Not Out program is to assist these youth in learning valuable life skills to help guide them for when they are out on their own. These classes are free and open to foster youth, adopted youth, and siblings. Caseworkers, Court Appointed Special Advocates, and Foster Parents are encouraged to attend with the youth and participate side by side.
We serve food and refreshments at each of our Aging Up...Not Out Events
Join us on May 31st as we welcome Wendy Moyers for the Money Talk presentation to Foster Youth, CASA's, DSS Workers, Foster Parents, and other professionals that work with Foster Youth on the importance of learning to plan and manage personal finances as well as the impact of those choices. Youth will learn about saving money, credit, and higher education and how these decisions can create stability in their lives.
Wendy is a Certified Financial Planner and the founder and Principal of Linden Oak Wealth Partners located in Annapolis. She has over two decades of experience in the financial industry and has been featured on NPR, Fox Business, Wall Street Journal Radio and the Washington Post.
Every participant in this event must be registered. This allows us to purchase the correct amount of food and arrange comfortable seating. Adults may register on behalf of their youth.
