Anne Arundel Medical Center- Speak Up...Speak Out

Registration is closed for this event

Please Join The Blue Ribbon Project on Wednesday, September 13th for our next Speak Up...Speak Out program, hosted by Anne Arundel Medical Center. This program is FREE!

One of the best tools in fighting child abuse is having the ability to recognize it when it's occurring. In the Speak Up...Speak Out program, the signs of abuse and neglect are discussed and case studies are provided. This presentation is an excellent program and is a real eye opener used in training, teaching, and covers Mandated Reporting in the State of Maryland. This activity has been submitted to Maryland Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours.  Anne Arundel Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Maryland Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Speaking:  Taylor Pyles (Founder of Blue Ribbon Project) & Rae Leonard (AAMC)
When:  Wednesday, September 13th
Where:  AAMC - Doordan Institute: Belcher Pavilion, 7th Floor
Time:  5:00PM – 8:00PM

Please note this presentation shows the true realities of child abuse and there are graphic images that are included with the presentation. Our task is not to offend you but to show the realities of abuse within our own communities. Taylor will also discuss his own childhood and how he was placed into care. This presentation is an excellent program and is a real eye opener intended for adults only. This program is being hosted by our friends at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Seating is limited and registration is required.
