Speak Up...Speak Out Child Abuse Awareness Program

Join The Blue Ribbon Project on Saturday, February 8th from 10am until 2pm for our next Speak Up...Speak Out Child Abuse Awareness program. This program is FREE but registration is required.

One of the best tools in fighting child abuse is having the ability to recognize it when it's occurring. In our Speak Up...Speak Out program, the signs of abuse and neglect are discussed and case studies are provided. This program is designed for professionals or volunteers who work with children or those that have regular contact with children. Please note this presentation shows the true realities of child abuse and there are graphic images that are included with the presentation. Our task is not to offend you but to show the realities of abuse within our own communities. The Blue Ribbon Project's Founder, Taylor Pyles, will also discuss his own childhood and how he was placed into care. This presentation is an excellent program and is a real eye opener intended for adults only.

This program is used in the training and teaching of law enforcement officers, fire fighters, Court Appointed Special Advocates, Foster Parents, Teachers, Day Care Providers, Medical Staff, and many other professionals. We also cover Mandated Reporting in the State of Maryland. Training certificates will be awarded at the end of the program.

Seating is limited and registration is required. Food and refreshments will be provided for those in attendance. This is a free program with no cost to you (but donations are always welcome).

We'll be gathering just before 10:00am  with a little meet and greet with the actual program beginning shortly after. This event will be held at our Crownsville location. The physical address is 45 Community Place.
