The Blue Ribbon Project Leadership Team is a collection of individuals who bring unique knowledge and skills which complement the mission of The Blue Ribbon Project and help move the organization forward. The Blue Ribbon Project Leadership Team guides the organization, helps develop new programs, and refine current programs. Each member of the Leadership Team works with a particular program of their choosing (or multiple programs if they choose). The Leadership Team also participates in various events, including fundraisers, presentations, demonstrations, and events for foster youth. The Leadership Team is a great opportunity for those that wish to regularly be involved in helping abused and neglected children and to be an integral part of our growing organization.
The Leadership Team is a volunteer team that guides The Blue Ribbon Project. We ask that members are able to dedicate a minimum of 5 hours per month. Leadership Team Leaders need not have direct knowledge or experience with Child Abuse but can bring personal and professional experience and skills to the forefront and be part of a great team. Members should have a passion to helping abused and neglected children and working with the community.
The Blue Ribbon Project is currently seeking dedicated individuals to work in the following aspects:
- Backpacks of Love: The Blue Ribbon Project is currently seeking dedicated individuals to be a part of our Backpacks of Love Program. Backpacks of Love are backpacks that contain emergency essentials for children who have to be removed from an abusive or neglectful environment. Backpacks of Love are age and gender specific and cover newborns to 17 years of age. This program is by far the most resource intensive and help is greatly needed. For more information on working with Backpacks of Love, Please
- Community Outreach: The Blue Ribbon Project is currently seeking individuals to work with our Community Outreach Team. Community Outreach members help raise awareness about The Blue Ribbon Project. Members attend community events, visit various organizations, and work to familiarize the public with programs offered by The Blue Ribbon Project and help build community support.
