A major community partner making a meaningful difference

Fence & Deck Connection is one of The Blue Ribbon Project’s major community partners, and we are deeply grateful for their extraordinary support. Their Holiday Drive brings our community together to celebrate the season while helping us provide essential items and comfort to children affected by abuse and neglect and children and youth in foster care. We’re proud to be part of this special community tradition and invite you to join us in thanking their team.

A North Pole adventure for the whole family

Young Holiday Explorers can take on festive challenges, gather treasures, and work toward earning Santa’s Elite Explorer Badge. The adventure includes:

  • A free holiday photo with Santa at Santa Base Station
  • The Ice Crystal Labyrinth, Snowball Crash Course, and Arctic Glacier Slide
  • North Pole creatures and s’mores around the Explorer Campfire
  • Fun surprises to collect along the way, including Matchbox cars, LEGO figures, Pokémon cards, squishies, and more

Bring a little holiday joy for a child who needs it

Families are encouraged to bring a new toy or new clothing with tags attached to benefit The Blue Ribbon Project. Your generosity helps us put practical support and comfort into the hands of children and youth who need them.

For ideas, visit our Greatest Needs list (opens in a new tab) before you shop.

Bring your family, enjoy the holiday magic, and help make the season brighter for children in our community!

If You Are Concerned About a Child

If you are concerned that a child may be experiencing abuse or neglect, please do not wait. You do not need proof - you only need reasonable concern. Reports made in good faith are protected by law.

  • If a child is in immediate danger, call 911.
  • Maryland Child Protective Services Hotline: To report suspected abuse within Maryland, contact the Department of Social Services statewide hotline at 1-800-91Prevent (1-800-917-7383), available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

AI chatbots are not a substitute for trained crisis professionals. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please use the resources above. Reporting abuse can protect a child. Remember, you do not need to be certain that abuse is occurring - if you have concerns, reach out. Trained professionals will assess the situation and take appropriate steps.  If you are a survivor of childhood abuse and are struggling with its effects, support is available. Healing is possible, and you deserve to access it.
